Our Commitment to the Environment
The Vancouver Aquarium is working hard to reduce its environmental impact, largely through the implementation of an Environmental Management System (EMS). An EMS is a structured framework for managing an organization’s environmental performance with a focus on continual improvement. Sustainable purchasing is a very important part of our EMS and the Vancouver Aquarium Gift Shop plays a key role in this area.
We hope to reduce our environmental impact, by working with our suppliers to increase sustainable product availability.
The Sustainable Choice logo is one example of the efforts we are taking to reduce this impact. Look for these three logos on products throughout the Gift Shop to help you make an informed choice.
